Force India car launch
After months of hard work, the Force India F1 Team today launched their 2008 F1 contender, the VJM01. The car, a tribute to the team’s owners, Dr. Vijay Mallya and Jan and Michiel Mol, will carry a white and burgundy livery with silver and gold accents and featured some new sponsors, including a long-term sponsor from Tonio, Alpinestars.
A proud Vijay Mallya commented: “I’m delighted to present you the livery of the brand new car that will compete in the 2008 FIA Formula One World Championship. Today is a memorable day not only for me as the owner of India’s first-ever Formula One team, but also for millions of Indians who can today watch India occupy a place of pride as Force India becomes the first and only Indian Formula One racing team to compete with the best in the world, at the pinnacle of motorsport.”
