Tonio tests at Kemble Airport

Vitantonio LiuzziOn Thursday 3 September, Tonio did a straight line test at UK’s Kemble Airport, to test some new car parts and to familiarize himself with the car for this weekend’s Italian GP. With in-season circuit testing banned this year, however, only a limited amount of straight-line, aerodynamic running is available to drivers at FIA-accepted locations, like Kemble.

The week before the Belgian GP, Tonio also tested some new parts. Mark Gray, Force India’s car build supervisor said: “It’s always nice to be able to test on a long runway and they’ve got one here. The tests we carried out at the airport before Spa were a big factor in the result. We came here earlier than we normally would and had a new aero package, which we were able to evaluate.”

Below are three YouTube video’s from Tonio’s test at the airport on 3 September.
