The rain continued in the final practice for this weekend’s Belgian Grand Prix. The last hour of practice before qualifying started on a damp track, but heavy rain fell 15mins from the end. The dry line that emerged between these periods however allowed the first genuinely useful dry weather running this weekend.

Due to the rain, Tonio’s programme was cut short. A change of rear wing settings after his installation lap ate into the session and he completed only eight laps before the rain fell. His time of 1:48.692 was the 18th quickest of the session.
