Race format
A Speedcar Series race event is held over 2 consecutive days. On some occasions, a race event is part of a Grand Racing Event, including GP2 Asia and other racing series, or a F1 race weekend. Both Speedcar races will have a rolling start and will cover a distance of 200 kilometres. No refuelling is allowed during a race.
During a single Speedcar Series round and a Grand racing event

- Defined by the results of the Qualifying session

- Reverse Grid: the first 10 cars of Race 1 will be placed in inverse order, all remaining will be placed in same order as Race 1 result.
Points allocation
Points for the Speedcar Series championship are allocated on the same way as in F1. Both races count for the Speedcar championship.

3rd: 6 points
4th: 5 points
5th: 4 points
6th: 3 points
7th: 2 points
8th: 1 point
Season
The 2008-2009 Speedcar Series season will have six events on three different tracks. The icons indicate if a Speedcar Series round is part of a Grand Racing event, a F1 event or a single Speedcar Series event.
